E. Ashley Hefner, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC

Elizabeth “Ashley” Hefner, FNP-C, PMHNP-BC, joins our practice as a dual certified Family Nurse Practitioner and Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner. Originally from Ohio, she attended undergraduate studies at Ohio Northern University and went on to pursue her master’s degree at Duke University. She has been an FNP for nearly 14 years.

Four years ago, Ashley decided to bridge the gap between medical and mental healthcare by completing the Johns Hopkins University post-master’s Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner program. She is passionate about patient education, wellness, and treating patients holistically—combining medical and mental healthcare to support the whole person.

Ashley has a particular interest in skincare and medical weight loss, and she also enjoys addressing a wide range of urgent care needs such as UTIs, rashes, upper respiratory infections, sore throats, musculoskeletal pain, and STD concerns, among others.

In her personal time, Ashley loves spending time with her family—especially her two children, Carson and Lily—as well as her dogs (whom she affectionately refers to as her children, too). She enjoys playing the piano, crocheting, traveling, and exploring historical places.
