Connecting to Telehealth

With our new portal in place, our protocol for telehealth has changed! Please follow the steps outlined here using our new MYIO Portal to join your session. We no longer use text or email links for initiating telehealth sessions. New instructions are below.

How do I set up my portal?

If you are not set up with the portal, telehealth cannot be initiated. Please plan ahead to allow 10-15 minutes BEFORE your appointment starts to set up the portal.

On the client side, you will have received an email or text to activate what is called a MYIO portal. This will be the new patient portal we will be using for your communication with staff. This portal is best supported in a google chrome browser, and there is also a convenient app that is able to be used. The invitation you received will come from a 'no-reply@valant.io' email or text and has links to either option. Through this new portal you will be able to contact staff, request refills, request appointments, and update demographic/insurance information.

How do I connect to my session?

Once you can access your MYIO portal, you will see the page below. You should be able to see your appointment on the dashboard under 'Upcoming Appointments'. If not, click the 'Appointments' button. When you see your appointment click 'Check-in'. This notifies your provider you are ready.

When you click Check-In, enter your card payment details so that we can collect your payment. This has been put in place in order to help both our clients and our patients keep track of telehealth billing. By taking payment upfront, like at an in-person session, we ensure that these payments are not overlooked and that you do not receive any delayed or suprise bills. If there is a reason you are unable to complete this step, please contact your provider or our front office staff for assistance.

Once you are checked in, your provider will initiate telehealth. Once they have initiated the session you will see the 'Join' button. Click this to join the session.
