Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner - Board Certified
Jerusha Monroe is a board-certified Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner with training across the lifespan and a special interest in eating disorders. She received her Master of Science in Nursing from Duke University School of Nursing in Durham, N.C. She also graduated from N.C. State in 2011 with her Master of Social Work degree. After graduating with her MSW, she provided intensive in-home therapy to children and adolescents. Jerusha has over 7 years of nursing experience ranging from cardiothoracic surgery to urgent care. Through these experiences, she has gained the ability to walk beside and partner with patients as they experience hardships, trauma, and loss.
During her time at Duke University, she was part of a small student group that created and implemented an annual summer camp for children and adolescents from the Rocky Boy Indian Reservation in Box Elder, Montana. The purpose of this camp is to teach skills related to resiliency and emotional well-being.
Some of the things that Jerusha enjoys are spoiling her golden retriever, spending time with friends and family, and traveling to national parks.
