Lesley Moran is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor, Licensed Clinical Addictions Specialist, Qualified Supervisor, and Board-Certified Master Addiction Counselor. She is also an Intensively trained DBT therapist through Behavioral Tech Institute. Lesley completed her Master of Science degree in Psychology at Albizu University in Miami, Florida, with post-Master's training in Clinical Psychology, Forensic concentration; Psy.D. (ABD). With over 25 years in the behavioral health field, she brings extensive personal, professional, and academic knowledge to her work.
Lesley provides both in-person and telehealth services, specializing in adults, teens, and couples experiencing mood disorders, grief and loss, chemical dependency, co-occurring disorders, complex trauma, suicidal ideation, borderline personality disorder, and relationship challenges. An LGBTQIA+ ally, she welcomes individuals of all genders, sexual identities, cultural backgrounds, and those with disabilities.
Her approach is individualized and evidence-based, emphasizing open and direct communication to help patients achieve meaningful change. She integrates Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Motivational Interviewing, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and models for co-occurring disorders. She also incorporates trauma neurobiology, harm reduction, gender affirmation, attachment theory, somatic experiencing, mind-body awareness, polyvagal theory, and NARM.
Lesley believes transformation is possible at any age: by understanding patterns shaped by early experiences, people can heal, celebrate their worth, and build fulfilling relationships. In her free time, she enjoys hiking, water sports, movies, music events, hockey, and spending time with her two dogs, Louie and Riley.
